The Great Australian/Asian Tour
To receive an opportunity to play music on a cruise ship that goes to Asia requires about a year of advance booking because crew members seize upon these opportune contracts like hot cakes. Tomorrow, Sunday November 17, 2013, I'll be flying to Sydney Australia. Although I don't know exactly how many hours of flight time will pass, this definitely takes the cake in being the longest flight I've ever experienced. Upon reaching the Ausralian region, I hope to scuba dive along the Great Barrier Reef, while playing guitar in the Orchestra onboard the Celebrity Millennium. I expect the sights and people encompassing this journey to be unprecedented in comparison to my former contracts. This one lasts six months, the longest time span to which I've ever committed, but the numerous countries in Asia with which I will become acquainted will help to ease the burden of time lost. In a spirit of calm anticipation I approach what will be the Great Australian/Asian Tour of 2013/2014.
